How do you use the Internet to stay informed about the things that matter to you?
I use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family, read the news, get updates on blogs, find deals for things I need, networking with other industry professionals, and have fun. I usually use Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and Google RSS/Gmail almost all day everyday. I usually use Google for my searching needs, my e-mail needs, and sometimes storage needs when I don't have a place to store files temporarily. I also play a lot of online games. This includes Super Pocus: Academy of Magic, Poupeegirl, and simple flash games you can find on many websites.
I guess that is my online life in a nutshell.
When was the last time you received a hand-written letter in the mail? Who sent it?
My mom. It was a birthday card. =)
Which do you prefer? City life or country living?
The city of course! I have such a love affair with San Franisco, Paris, and Tokyo. Imagining that I would live in the country is like dating someone I have nothing in common with. Mind you, I think country-like areas are beautiful, they are just not for me. I find the convenience of having everything I would need nearby better than spending time traveling just to get supplies. I am more creative and productive when I can just walk 10 minutes than an hour to the nearest art store. I'm not saying creative people can't come from the country, it is just my personal way of working. I know it "may" be noisy, but I don't even notice the sirens or traffic from the outside.
I also have to add that when cities are pedestrian friendly, you understand that city better. For example, when Kyle and I visited Paris, I don't think we would've enjoyed certain small shops, restaurants, or local fare if we didn't walk around. We blended into the city life as well as found numerous sites that you can't get from tour guides.
Ah! I love you SF!
What's the last thing you won? How did you win it?
The last thing I won??? Hmm. I don't win things on chance like games or lotteries. I really don't! I think the last thing I won was for an art contest and I got a grant that enabled me to pay for school.
Do you consider yourself a hard worker? Based on what?
I believe I am a hard worker. I actually enjoy having something to do that ends in something positive. Whenever I work on a project that is creative, not creative, or just plain fun I try to give more than 100%. It is just the way I am. I always have high industry standards for everything I produce as well as quick turn around time. Of course the turn around time depends if I am working in trade or for a paying client.
If you are a personal friend, you know what I'm talking about. haha! ;D

What's something you would splurge on this year to improve your future?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.
I think I would save my money, or if I had the money, and get myself a camera. It is a SPLURGE because it would help with my photography and help me with some of the work I deal with.
Preferably this camera:
Yeah, that's a lot to say. There will always be newer versions, but I'm planning on selling a doll or two in order to get this camera before Christmas.
*crosses fingers*
I do have an interest in a Canon camera, but I'm just happy with Nikon for now.
How are you spending this Labor Day? Bonus points if you show us pictures.
We spent labor day weekend in Hawaii! YAY!
They planned it so we could watch the sunset while the pulled the pig out of the pit.
