Custom AB blythe I'm working on. Here is some progress:
Ideally you should fix something like this, but I wanted to stain the scalp, so using a previous technique, this wouldn't work as well. So I just decided to do the latter.
Techniques used:
Re-root
Dye
Boil perming
Loop-lock and knot method.
I like using the combination of loop-lock and knot because there are some areas where I want to guarantee no hair loss so I knot it. Another reason I use knotting is for larger holes. If you have 2 broken holes, I usually like getting two roots and knotting them on the other side of the scalp. It makes it "appear" fixed, but in reality the scalp is still broken. The double knotting helps keep the hair in place and not pull through the broken holes. (I hope that makes sense). I wasn't able to take pictures, I'll try to draw what I did later.

These are the only maquettes i've done for a stop motion in college. The larger one is rigged with wire and 100% poseability. She was produced with a rubber mold that was absolutely NOT perfect the first couple times. XD I got the hang of making the mold after the 4th or 5th try. =D I was very proud of these at the time. The smaller one is just a color figure done with flocking.
Anywho, I guess I make a lot of stuff... these are just something I still think about and wish I still had. =T
