QotD: Everywhere Has Its Problems

What prevents your city/town from being the best place in the country to live?

Hmm, that is tough. I do truly believe San Francisco is the best place to live. The food, the culture, the people, the environment, and even the shopping are pretty good. It has everything I could ever need within a 7x7 mile area. There are beaches, parks, areas of interest, and etc. I guess you could say the parking could be better or rent could be better but most metropolitan cities are like this.

Though we do have a homeless problem. Some homeless people choose to be this way, some do not, some have no other option. It is depressing and I honestly can barely pay for my things let alone another person that rummages through my recyling bins for a nickle or two.  A majority of homeless people are harmless, but many downtown have been agressive and SF had to put in laws to avoid pan handeling near highway exits, ATMS and simliar money exchange areas.

There have been many policies that have been passed, agencies that have tried to help but what can you do when the economy hit everyone hard.  It is definitly a sensitive issue.
