So I feel like I should update this blog more than usual and have more posts than just the random *BIG* travel ones.First off, Kyle has recently accepted a new job from Slide. He is saying goodbye to Busse and moving on to a more creative position. Besides the new adventures he will be having, we're also glad that it comes with some mighty good benifits! Health, Vision, Dental, and also coverage for travel. (insert happy face here).Second, Cat will be working on her portfolio. It seriously needs to be updated. Hopefully by the end of this year she should have it done. If that doesn't pull together I plan to complete a comic and an animation based on the comic.Lastly, Kyle and I are hopefully planning to move into a new place before the end of the year. We'll definitely miss our current apartment but it has become too small for us. We're looking into staying in San Francisco, but in either Inner Sunset area or the Portrero Hill/Dog Patch.View House Hunting in a larger mapWe're hoping to find a 2 bedroom, with a bath, washer/dryer, and garage. It would be nice but not entirely necessary for the washer/dryer. Garage and 2 Bedroom is a must!Anywho, that's all for now. *PHEW* More updates probably before the end of the month. I have a lovely blythe-meet this Saturday in Berkeley and Kyle is going to meetup with his old friend Nate for lunchies on Friday.

Kyle, who is terribly awesome got me into walking again. I used to do it a lot but have gotten lazy with all the work recently. Since I'm a creature of habit and also very OCDish... he got me this DS Game to help me. Some wives/girlfriends may think this is offensive but I relish in the fact that I get useful gifts. (ie KitchenAid Mixer). =D !!!! Here is a screen view of today. I did about 9,271 steps! From reading, an active walker does around 10,000 steps a day. REALLY? My feet would be so tired! We tested these pedometers out when we went to the Licensing Expo in Vegas last week and we did a whopping 20,000+ a day! We had to use the hotel jacuzzi daily to ease our feet. This photo shows our stamps per day. You can chooose Super Happy, Happy, and Sad Face. Usually you get a green face if you meet your set goals and a red face if you don't. I have mine set for 7,000. (Tomorrow will be 8,000). This is the perfect game for me. =DIn combination with better eating and pilates I feel I will be at my goal weight and health my the end of the year. Yay for DH's! We made this video using a technique called "pixilation", which is a fancy term for stop-motion animation done with real people instead of puppets. We shot it, frame by frame, with Raquel's Canon DSLR over a period of nine months. Those of you who stopped by our house might have noticed some mysterious tape marks on the floor in the living room. Those were for the camera tripod and our feet.

Maybe because it is food related, I enjoy her paintings. I know in her statment it is supposed to reflect america and their mass produced consumption... but damn it junk food never looked so good!

It's a two-wheeled vehicle that balances on gyroscopes and is powered by rechargeable batteries. Top speed is 35 miles per hour or three times as fast as a Segway scooter. The PUMA will cost 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of a traditional vehicle and a three hour charge will cost only 35 cents. A single charge will take you 35 miles. It's intended for city dwellers and was developed by G.M. and Segway. Gold star for G.M. for trying to turn around their gas guzzling S.U.V. ways! Coolest part? The cars would communicate with each other wirelessly to regulate speed, reduce congestion and prevent accidents. These small, nimble electric vehicles will know where other moving objects are and will avoid running into them. An internet like web will connect the vehicles so that people can move through the cities and find places to park and connect. It'll be a dawn of a new day. As Jim Norrod, the CEO of Segway states, “We are excited to be working together to demonstrate a dramatically different approach to urban mobility. There’s an emotional connection you get when trying something made by Segway. The Project P.U.M.A. prototype embodies this completely through the combination of dynamic stabilization, seamless drive-by-wire controls, and sophisticated battery systems to complete the connection between the rider, environment, and others.” You won't see this baby hitting the road till 2012 but for now, check out Engadget's review of their joy ride.
